"The mountains are calling and I must go."
Oh, John Muir, how you describe our wanderlusty thoughts so simply. As much as I love the midwest, there's something unexplainably comforting about being contained in the majesty of the mountains. A person can't help but simply sit in a state of wonder at the Creator, whether they realize that's what they're doing or not. To me it's always felt safe, but not the boring kind of safe that goes along with being stagnant in one place. Pretty much the most adventurous kind of safe.. the kind of safe that makes you want to just keep going on adventures, big and small, forever.
